8 Indian-Backed Militants Killed in Two Major Security Operations in Balochistan
ISPR stated that the operations were carried out on June 25 and 26 following credible intelligence regarding terrorist movements and planned attacks.
In the first operation, conducted on June 25 in Kharan district, security forces targeted a group of militants after receiving intelligence about their movement. During the swift and precise operation, three terrorists were killed, while several others were injured.
In the second intelligence-based operation on June 26 in Mastung, security forces acted on reports regarding the presence of a potential suicide bomber. During the operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorist hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, were neutralized.
Security forces also recovered a cache of weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and motorcycles used by the militants.
ISPR added that clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists operating in the area under Indian patronage.
According to the military’s media wing, under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the federal apex committee of the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating externally sponsored terrorism from the country.
The statement emphasized that counterterrorism operations will continue with full intensity until the complete elimination of terrorist threats.
