Prime Minister Imran Khan said that 35 years ago we drank the water of Lahore and today we cannot breathe in Lahore. Pollution has reached extreme levels in Lahore, threatening the lives of the elderly and children. The pollution here is a silent killer.
He said that 70 percent of the trees were cut from Lahore in the last 10 years, environmental pollution is increasing the diseases.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is God's blessing for us, Pakistan has all kinds of weather, every kind of fruit can grow. Allah has made Pakistan rich in natural resources. If we value Pakistan then gold will come next.
He said that Pakistan could become a major tourist destination for the world. The country was destroyed. We have to face the problems together. All students must participate in the Green Champions. The Clean Green City Index will launch in 19 major cities. The purpose of the index is to ensure safe drinking water and drainage systems.
