Major Terror Plot Foiled in Karachi as CTD Arrests Two Suspected BLA Militants
According to CTD officials, the arrested suspects have been identified as Mujahid Baloch and Fareed Baloch, also known as Zakir Bin. Authorities claim both suspects received training at BLA camps, including reconnaissance and communication skills.
Investigators said the suspects had been staying in Karachi under the instructions of alleged BLA commanders Sajid Baloch and Bashir Zeb. They are accused of gathering intelligence on sensitive installations and passing the information to the militant organization.
Officials further alleged that the suspects were actively working to establish a terrorist network targeting sensitive sites and law enforcement agencies in the city.
During the operation, CTD recovered 4 kilograms of explosive material, detonators, prima cord, and ball bearings, which authorities said could have been used in terrorist activities.
A case has been registered against the suspects at the CTD police station, and further investigations are underway. CTD and other security agencies have formed additional investigation teams to identify possible facilitators and determine whether more arrests are expected.
