Transgender Community Stages Protest Outside Karachi Press Club
The demonstrators gathered carrying placards and banners while chanting slogans calling for an end to violence and discrimination against the transgender community.
Protesters said they were demanding immediate action to ensure their safety and equal treatment under the law.
"We want violence against our community to stop. We deserve justice," one protester said during the demonstration.
Participants also expressed concerns over what they described as a lack of trust in the Sindh Police, urging authorities to investigate allegations of misconduct and take strict action against any officers found responsible for wrongdoing.
The protesters called on the provincial government and law enforcement authorities to protect the rights of transgender people and ensure that complaints are handled fairly and transparently.
No immediate response from Sindh Police regarding the protesters' allegations was available at the time of reporting.
