DG ISPR 54 Militants Killed, 42 Lives Lost in Four Days of Violence in Balochistan
Addressing a press conference, the DG ISPR alleged that India was behind the attacks in Balochistan, claiming that hostile elements were attempting to undermine Pakistan's peace and economic progress. India has consistently rejected similar allegations in the past.
According to the military spokesperson, three major terrorist incidents occurred across Balochistan during the four-day period.
He stated that at least 15 militants were killed in Ziarat, while the remaining attackers fled, leaving behind the bodies of those killed. He added that police personnel played a key role in eliminating the attackers.
The DG ISPR also said that militants attacked Mangi Dam on July 6. The dam is an important source of water supply for the residents of Quetta.
Separately, security sources said an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted on the N-25 Highway between Jhao Cross and Kararo, where armed militants were allegedly blocking the road and extorting money from travelers and local residents.
According to security officials, the operation resulted in the killing of 19 militants, while several others were injured. During the operation, 11 security personnel embraced martyrdom while fighting the attackers.
