US Launches Fresh Strikes on Iran as Gulf Region Goes on High Alert

American media reports stated that US forces targeted a military site near the southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas. US officials claimed the operation was conducted in response to threats against American troops and international naval traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian media reported that no major casualties or significant financial losses occurred in the attacks. However, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed it retaliated by targeting a US airbase in the region. Iranian military officials warned that any further “American aggression” would receive an even stronger response.
Meanwhile, Kuwait announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted “enemy” missiles and drones. Kuwaiti authorities did not specify where the attacks originated, but security across the Gulf region has been placed on high alert due to rising tensions.
At the same time, the Israeli military ordered residents in southern Lebanon to immediately evacuate the area. Israel declared all regions south of the Zahrani River as a war zone and instructed civilians to move northward.
International humanitarian organizations have described the situation in southern Lebanon as alarming and warned that continued airstrikes and ground operations could trigger a severe humanitarian crisis.
