Government Ends Business Hour Restrictions

The decision will apply to markets, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, food outlets, and wedding halls. According to Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, business centers will now be allowed to operate without time restrictions and continue their activities according to normal business hours.
He stated that the restricted timings for markets, restaurants, and wedding halls were originally imposed under an energy conservation and austerity policy. However, after considering the concerns and suggestions of traders and industrialists, the government decided to review the policy.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said the Sindh government believes in promoting business activities, public convenience, and economic stability. He added that the government always makes decisions through consultation, keeping public interest and ground realities in mind to ensure that no segment of society faces unnecessary difficulties.
The provincial minister emphasized that the business community serves as the backbone of the national economy, and the government will continue taking all possible measures to address their concerns.
He further stated that despite difficult economic conditions, protecting the interests of the public and the business sector remains the government’s top priority. The Sindh government also expressed its commitment to making future decisions that support economic growth, employment opportunities, and commercial activities.
