Trump Calls Emergency National Security Meeting
According to American media reports, the high-level meeting is expected to include Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine.
Two officials told media outlets that President Trump is leaning toward potential military measures to increase pressure on Iran and secure concessions regarding its nuclear program.
Among the options reportedly under consideration are reviving “Project Freedom” and launching strikes on remaining strategic targets inside Iran.
Trump has previously stated that the ceasefire is “on life support.” He also claimed that only the United States and China possess the capability to recover Iran’s nuclear particles due to their advanced technological resources.
