Pakistan Government Raises Petrol and Diesel Prices Again
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been increased by PKR 6.51 per liter, bringing the new price to PKR 399.86 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has seen a significant hike of PKR 19.39 per liter, with the new rate set at PKR 399.58 per liter.
The revised prices will come into effect from midnight tonight.
The notification also states that the petroleum levy on petrol has been reduced by PKR 3.88 per liter. However, a levy of PKR 28.69 per liter has now been imposed on diesel, whereas previously there was no levy on it.
Sources revealed that the announcement was made earlier than usual due to the public holiday on May 1.
