Sikh Pilgrims Return to India with Message of Love from Pakistan

The pilgrims expressed deep appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the Evacuee Trust Property Board, which ensured top-tier arrangements including accommodation, transportation, medical care, and security throughout their stay.
Speaking at the Wagah Border, Chairman Qamar-uz-Zaman stated that Pakistan stands as a practical example of interfaith harmony, where people of all religions enjoy full freedom.
Sikh group leader Sardar Harjit Singh described the visit as “memorable,” while Sardar Surjit Singh praised Pakistan for setting a new benchmark in minority respect and inclusion.
The pilgrims highlighted the excellent facilities provided, including comfortable lodging, organized transport, medical services, and strict security measures. They also thanked the Pakistani authorities for their generosity and respect.
Provincial Minister Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora noted that contrary to negative portrayals in Indian media, the pilgrims experienced immense love and respect in Pakistan. “They are leaving with tears of affection in their eyes,” he said, urging the Indian government to reopen the Kartarpur Corridor.
The visiting Sikh pilgrims shared that they felt completely at home during their stay in Pakistan and were overwhelmed by the hospitality they received. They expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for providing excellent arrangements including transport, langar (community meals), accommodation, and security.
