Man Throws Female Lawyer to the Ground Outside Peshawar Court; CCTV Footage Goes Viral
A shocking incident of violence against a female lawyer has emerged from Peshawar, where CCTV footage showing the assault has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place at the Judicial Complex in Peshawar during proceedings in a civil case. According to reports, the accused, identified as Abdul Sadiq, allegedly attacked advocate Madiha Parvez immediately after she exited the courtroom. The suspect reportedly lifted the lawyer and threw her to the ground, causing injuries.
Police said the assault occurred on June 23. The dispute began when Advocate Madiha Parvez submitted a review petition during the hearing of a civil case. According to her statement, the opposing party verbally abused her inside the courtroom, prompting the judge to order the accused to leave the court premises.
However, shortly after Madiha Parvez stepped outside the courtroom, the accused allegedly assaulted her in the judicial complex.
Following an inquiry by the District Public Prosecutor, Peshawar Police registered a formal case against Abdul Sadiq and initiated legal proceedings. An investigation is currently underway.
Speaking about the incident, Advocate Madiha Parvez said the accused had filed the civil case against her. She maintained that after he was removed from the courtroom for using abusive language, he attacked her outside the courtroom, leaving her injured.
The viral CCTV footage has triggered widespread condemnation, with many legal professionals and social media users calling for strict action against the suspect and stronger security measures within court premises.
