Pakistan Eliminates 26 Terrorist in Targeted Border Operations
According to reports, the operations were launched following a wave of recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan, including the June 9 assault on a Federal Constabulary checkpoint in Musa Dara, the June 2 vehicle-borne suicide attack on a military post in North Waziristan, and the May 9 attack on the Bannu Police Station.
Acting on credible intelligence, security forces carried out precision strikes against militant hideouts and safe havens located in border regions. The operations reportedly targeted key facilities used for planning, training, and supporting terrorist activities.
Four significant targets were completely destroyed, including a training center, a covert safe house, a large weapons and ammunition depot, and operational centers linked to militant commanders Aleem Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Janikhel.
Officials stated that the operation was conducted with a high degree of precision and professionalism, ensuring that only militant elements and their infrastructure were targeted.
Pakistan reiterated its commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region while emphasizing that the protection of its citizens remains a top priority. Under the National Action Plan and the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision approved by the Apex Committee, security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue counterterrorism operations with full force.
