Punjab Continues Deportation of Illegal Foreign Nationals; Over 35,000 Afghans Repatriated

According to a spokesperson for Punjab Police, a total of 35,216 foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, have been deported from Lahore and other districts of Punjab so far. The spokesperson said that 208 individuals are currently being housed at designated holding points awaiting deportation.
Official figures reveal that those deported include 13,766 men, 7,061 women, and 14,389 children. Among them, 10,954 individuals possessed proof of residence, 11,131 held Afghan Citizen Cards (ACC), while 13,131 were classified as illegally residing foreign nationals.
Inspector General of Punjab Police, Abdul Karim, directed law enforcement agencies to maintain a high security alert across the province and ensure the complete implementation of the policy regarding the removal of illegally residing individuals.
The Punjab Police chief stated that the province is enforcing the repatriation process in accordance with international laws and government directives. He emphasized that all relevant authorities are working to ensure the orderly and lawful deportation of undocumented foreign nationals.
The deportation campaign remains underway as authorities continue monitoring and processing individuals under the government's repatriation framework.
